Clear aligner therapy refers to the orthodontic movement of teeth via plastic “aligners” that fit over the teeth. Each aligner is custom designed to move teeth incrementally over time. Once an aligner has been worn for a specific length of time (typically about 2 weeks), the teeth should be ready for the next aligner tray. Treatment times will vary, depending upon how “crooked” the teeth are prior to treatment, and also depending upon how compliant we are with wearing the aligners.
