Dental Crowns

A crown, sometimes referred to as a “cap” is a restoration that is cemented onto your tooth. The crown restores the tooth to its normal shape, size, and function. A crown can make the tooth stronger as well as improve the esthetics.  Some reasons your dentist may recommend a crown:

  1. ·         There is a cavity that is too large for just filling
  2. ·         Your tooth is cracked, worn down, or fractured
  3. ·         Your tooth has had root canal treatment
  4. ·         You want to improve your smile by covering up teeth that  may be discolored or chipped

We also use a 3-D scanner to communicate with the lab so there is no longer a need for gooey impression materials!
